Julian is the Global Head of Shipping for Hill Dickinson LLP in which capacity he manages the entire shipping practice for the firm across its international network of offices. 

He started his legal career in 1988 having been called to the Bar of England and Wales prior to joint qualifying as a Solicitor. He is both a CEDR accredited mediator and has acted as an  arbitrator in maritime disputes. For the past 10 years, he has been ranked as a market leader in his field which encompasses marine, trade and energy dispute resolution. Julian is further recognised as  a market leading expert in Blockchain in the sector and Cyber Crime, Security and Terrorism issues. He is Chairman for both the Maritime London Innovation and Technical Committee and the Cyber Crime working group of the CMI. He has also drafted the terms and conditions of marine insurance facilities and several industry contract wordings.
